These delightfully easy, flavor-filled burgers are a winning combination of Omega 3 and healing herbs.
Omega 3 has been shown to help lower triglyceride levels, lessen joint pain due to Rheumatoid arthritis and even helps to ease depression. Parsley, once seen as a mere garnish, is a powerhouse of “good for you”. It is known to relax muscles, aid in digestion and is an anti-inflammatory. For more information on the healing effects of parsley, check out this blog post at Care2.com.
The burgers come together quickly and can be made with either salmon or tuna, using whatever veggies you have on hand in the saute. For one amazing lunch (or a light dinner) serve over thinly sliced greens garnished with a lemon wedge. If serving as an appetizer, make sure to include several small lemon pieces. For entree size burgers, use a 1/4 cup scoop to measure portions. For appetizer size, use a 2 tablespoon scoop. Serve hot or cold.
The Omega 3 Seed Sprinkle, made of sesame, hemp and flax seed meal is a delightful addition, not a necessity. But on the road to good health, I say go for the extra credit! Store the mix in the fridge and add to eggs, salads, smoothies, etc.
